Who is ODTÜKPM?

As METU Career Planning Application and Research Center (ODTÜKPM), our main aim is to support our new graduates in finding the job they dream of and where they can display their knowledge and skills; and helping our former graduates who are dissatisfied with the current working conditions find new career opportunities that match their experience. We also organize activities that our students can learn about the sectors they can work before they graduate.

How can I benefit from ODTÜKPM?

Career Fair

METU Career Fair is organized at METU Culture and Convention Center twice in each academic year. Our event organized since 1999 with the participation of an average of 100 companies take 2 days and attracts more than 4,000 students and alumni. The spectrum of companies changing based on the suggestions of students consists of popular companies operating in domestic and international markets.

Company-Specific Events

During the academic year, companies and institutions organize various activities for our students on the campus. The companies visiting our campus organize workshops and panels thorugh which students can develop their personal skills as well as interviews and case studies. The students participating in these events can learn about the vacant positions at the companies, application requirements and dates and have the opportunity to have a face-to-face contact with the company representatives. Students who need support about their career can make an appointment through the "Counseling Application Form" on the KPM website.

Interview Simulation

The research shows that the preparations for the interview have greatly improved performance during the actual interview. You can get a counseling appointment from our website to join our interview simulation. Interview simulation with our career counselor will take about 40 minutes. The career counselor will ask you highly probable questions that you might encounter during a real interview about your resume, competencies and projects. Also, if you want a simulation for a specific company, the interview will be much more efficient if you give the company name in advance. You are expected to answer the questions asked during the simulation as if you had a real interview. During the session, our career counselor will give you feedback to improve your performance in relation to the language and body language you are using.

Career Counseling

Our career counselor has suggestions that will guide your professional life based on your ideals, skills, interests and experiences during the interview.

Resume Editing

If you want to receive professional feedback on your resume that you have prepared, you can come to our office to meet with our career counselor by making an appointment on our web page.

Job and Internship Announcements

Especially companies that want to employ our graduates and want to provide our students with internship opportunities can share their announcements on our website. You can also sign up for our website and see only the ads that only a METU student/alum can see, and apply for what you think is best for you.
