The international convention organized with the participation of English teachers every three years by the Department of Basic English, METU School of Foreign Languages was held on May 3-4, 2018 this year. All areas of the CCC were used for the presentations in the convention organized at the Culture and Convention Center. During the convention, which was attended by approximately 600 people of English teachers from the country and abroad and prospective teachers, exam writers, book writers, university students studying English language teaching, researchers and publishing houses, 5 plenary speakers addressed all attendees, workshops were organized with 100 speakers and research results were shared. Within the theme set as "Teaching Beyond Boundaries" this year, it was aimed at mentioning different problems in English language teaching and reaching different solutions by addressing English teachers teaching different levels of age and culture groups at different levels. Extremely comprehensive and welcoming, the METU ELT convention that has earned great reputation throughout the country has a prestigious place in its field.
