The METU Career Fair, which is held twice a year to meet METU students with companies, was held on November 2-3, 2017 with participation of three special participants, forty-seven companies, three sponsors and three thousand people. Taking place in the Culture and Convention Center, the event focused on renewable energy in the small foyer area. In the panels moderated by Mehmet Auf, Prof. Dr. Raşit Turan, Director of METU-DUNAM (The Center for Solar Energy Research and Applications); Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Tuncer, Director of METU- RUZGAM (Center For Wind Energy Research) and Prof. Dr. Tayfur Öztürk, Director of METU - ENDAM (Energy Storage Materials and Devices Center) participated as speakers. Mehmet Auf also delivered a speech "Opportunistic Coincidences".

In the second fair held on March 1-2, 2018, six special participants, more than sixty companies and three service sponsors joined for the first time in the history of METU. This year, food was the theme of the panels moderated by Mehmet Auf and where he delivered a speech on "Failure Stories".
